February 20, 2010 – Northern California Serve Day! BLESS THE GRID II

Serve Day begins at 9:00 am and goes until 2:00 pm.

Our banquet will be from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm at Washington Neighborhood Center in Midtown: 400 16th Street, Sacramento. Click here to register for the banquet

We need YOU to participate with us in one of the local Serve Day Projects. We will update this page as details of the various projects develop. Please check back often to get updated information. Here’s what we know so far:

Fremont Park Events

Volunteers are needed for:
Set-up/take down
Musicians
Visual Artists
Cooking/serving food to homeless people and others
Blessing booth – be on hand to pray for people as they ask for prayer
Hot Chocolate and Coffee Stand

Children’s booth:
Balloon animals
Face painting
Crafts
Story-telling

Other Projects in the Midtown area

Medical Clinic
Cleaning various indoor facilities
Cleaning/gardening work at various parks
Urban Gardening Workshop
Toilet Paper Drive for Loaves and Fishes – this is a great youth project
Tax help

Serve Day Registration Information: Please register in advance to participate in Serve Day. You are free to sign up for any project that fits with your interest. Once registered, you will receive electronic confirmation of your registration along with timely email updates to keep you informed and help prepare you for the day of activities. Because these projects grow in scope, description and number as our day of serving nears, we will be able to keep you informed of all important event updates by e-mail notification.
