Seven characteristics of disciple making
We agree that disciple making is the key ministry of the church,
and that disciples should show the following characteristics
(among other):
1. Intimacy with God: People who have a relationship
with God through Jesus Christ and value Him above all else.
2. Relational Wholeness: People who are at
peace with God and themselves and reflect that kind of integrated
wellness. They are not double-minded in their devotion, not
oppressed by evil from their past (or at least they have indentified
it and are dealing with it honestly).
3. Peace: People who pursue living at peace
with family, others, and their environment. They seek to live
holy and consistent lives in the world they share with others.
4. Generosity: People who find delight in
giving willingly and liberally.
5. Connected to the Body: People who both
contribute and are nurtured by their local church.
6. Committed to Multiplication: People who
are at ease sharing their faith in Jesus and also understand
the value of making disciples.
7. Engaged with Scripture: People who love
and respect His Word.
