SCHEDULE AND REGISTRATION

Northern California - February 21, 2009

 

9:00am - 3:00pm Serve Day Project – Please register in advance ($15 will be collected for lunch, dinner and a commemorative T-shirt upon check-in)

• Community Service Project in the area surrounding the new urban church plant in Sacramento

Check in: 9:00am at Sacramento Friends Church

Come prepared to bless and be blessed as we have the honor of being a part of a new work in the midtown/downtown Sacramento area. We will give you the opportunity to choose from several areas of ministry and will work to match you with a need. Areas of service will include: Homeless Ministry, Community Food Drive, Outdoor Cleaning, Indoor Cleaning, Ministry to Seniors, Urban Farming/Gardening, Prayer Site/Walk, Hospitality, and Public Art/Music.

You can also assist by bringing paper bags for food collection. Please collect and bring them to the registration table when you arrive.

If you have a van or truck that could be used (driven by you or someone else), please contact Tweed Moore.

Schedule:

9:00am - 9:30 am Registration and Refreshments

9:30am – 10:00 am Team equipping for service

10:00am – 3:00 pm Bless the Grid

4:00pm – 6:00 pm Sharing of meal and experiences

Lunch will be provided either at your serve site or as a sack lunch to go.

We are requesting a donation of $15 per participant to help cover the cost of the meals and supplies as well as to cover some of the food and other needed items we will be sharing with those in need. Cost should not prevent your participation so contact Tweed Moore if you are not able to cover the donation at this time. Any additional monies that come in will go to the needs of the community and to the church plant fund.

 

Banquet and Celebration Service: Saturday, February 21st, 4:00pm

Location: Sacramento Friends Church. Cost: $15 per person for all-day participation and meals. Payment will be collected at Serve Day check-in; however, Please register in advance here
