Strategic Ministry Projects

The list below contains specific projects that will have a strategic impact on our mission in Cambodia and Southeast Asia. We greatly appreciate your prayer and financial support.

Evangelism Explosion materials for the Clinics and 13 week classes:
The $300 is specifically for 13 week classes. This is where those who have gone to the Clinics and have been trained as a teacher, takes on two students. These two students receive the workbook to go through and for 13 weeks spend half of the time working through the book and memorization and the the other half doing on the job experience. This takes the students into homes by invitation where they practice going through the materials on presenting the gospel. The $300 helps to pay for the books, pamplets that are left for the people receiving the gospel, and the transportation costs for the students to go to on the job training sites.

Phnom Penh Guest House - Steve & Caroline Harvey hosts
Thank you, thank you! The Guest House now has everything it needs to accommodate teams and others. It is wonderful to be able to host our own missionaries, other missionaries and short term teams in our home. God is so faithful.

Discipleship Materials - Michelle Murray
This year I plan to translate the Steps to Spiritual Freedom – pilot/test it – edit and print it with a cost of $ 300.00

This project will be used in conjunction with our follow up discipleship materials for new believers. Cambodians in general are animistic (worship spirits) they have a strong belief in the spirit world, we will use this material to help them, see, confess, renounce and rebuke areas of worship, idolatry personally and for their family so they can move forward to Freedom in Christ.

I also plan to translate Steve Diehl’s Forgiveness materials. We did a basic translation 3 years ago, but I am going to expand and make it a workbook, so that it can be taught in a class room or seminar environment. This is another area that Cambodians struggle with, this is not a directly confronting culture, and they typically hold grudges for quite some time, this material is needed to help them be more Christlike. Again will translate – pilot/test – edit and print copies to be used in a class room or seminar setting - $400.00

Youth Leader meetings and Training - $650 – This will cover 4 meetings this year for the National Youth Council (travel and food for the members who come from each of our ministry sites throughout the country) – who gather to plan and dream about youth ministry through out the churches for the year – I do some training on discipling future leaders because each member of the council is discipling at least 1 potential/future leader. We also plan the national youth retreat each year in the August. This year I will be functioning in an advisory role as I work with the leadership of the council in training them how to lead a meeting and do follow up, etc… The other $350 will be for 2 Youth Leader training events, 1 will be held in July and the other in November. These events are a time for the members of the National Youth council to pull together their disciples and others in who we see potential and have a time of encouragement, training and fellowship to move them along the process of taking a larger leadership role in their individual youth groups. We had our first on this past year and it was very successful, we held it a month before the Youth retreat and assigned appropriate leadership roles to these folks for the retreat and the members of the council were the leaders over these groups and did planning and practice for the retreat and it was our best retreat ever, the most ownership by the Cambodians and the interaction in the small groups.

Sunrise Coffeehouse - $5000 – New equipment to expand the kitchen – Display refrigerator $600, Grill - $400, Commercial oven and hood, $1000, other new furnishings, tables, etc.

5th Annual Youth Retreat total budget $2800 we are hoping to have 125 youth attend this year the dates are from August 21-24. So per student the cost is $25.00
