Happenings
Ny, Thearath and I started an English Conversation Club for outreach and evangelism. We all thought it was a good idea. In reality, it has not worked out so well. We are considering other outreach ideas, and looking at ways to evangelize our target demographic—post-college, working young professionals. We are praying about it, and will see where the Lord leads us, but in the mean time we have completed our Mission statement and Belief statements for our church. The three of us are meeting weekly for prayer (we are looking for at least one more person to join us, preferably a man) and Bible Study. We just finished God's Big Picture. We know that God is ultimately in control and our desire is to be ready personally and as a group when the timing is opportune and we see God working so we can join him.
Personal Update
I have just returned from a trip to Battambang. I tell Cambodians that my hometown is Battambang. I say that because every time I am there it is like going home. I see so many friendly faces and people who ask where I have been and are happy to see me. I feel like I must walk around with a goofy grin on my face because I am truly happy when I am there. This time I got to spend time with Brian Colfax, who is here while his folks are on furlough in the States. We played Settlers of Catan - sadly I didn't win either time, but then we jumped to Rook, and I won one of the two. It was a fast but good weekend visiting with the Hernandez family and other friends while there.

Prayer Requests
-
For ideas for evangelism for Emmanuel Friends - our English Conversation club has not caught on real well - search for different ideas to engage our target demographic
-
We have three servants Danielle Richards, Alison Evert and Kyle Walkemeyer here and engaged in ministry. Pray that we can meet their needs and they can have God ordained connections with the Cambodians.
-
For another member to join the core team of Emmanuel Friends Church
About Michelle
Michelle Murray first went to Cambodia to spend a year as a homeschool teacher for the Colfax kids, and fell in love with the country and its people. She then applied to EFCSW for full-time missionary service, and has spent the last several years in Battambang developing relationships with many of the youth, training teachers, teaching Theological Education by Extension (TEE), helping to develop a National Youth Council, discipling single women, and translating materials into Khmer. Michelle is now living in Phnom Penh assisting Cambodian leaders in a new church plant (Immanuel Friends Church) geared toward reaching young people in the city.
